Another beautiful Saturday

Hello —

Nothing exciting to report.  Just a quiet Saturday afternoon at the house — well, except for the occasional screaming at the television set by me as I watch the Boilers struggle at Northwestern.  Joel is enjoying the beautiful weather by golfing today.   Rachel spent the night at her cousin Madison’s house last night while Daphne and Vincent stayed at Grandma’s.  The kids will come home tonight since Rachel’s last basketball games are early tomorrow morning.

Hope there is wonderful weather where you are.  Thank you for continuing to check the website.  Though Joel and I realize we don’t update the website as often as we did over the summer, it is also very nice that we don’t need to since Joel has been feeling fairly well the past few weeks.  I realize his health is dependent on him and the doctors who treat him — but also on the numerous prayers said by so many of you.  Please continue to keep Joel in your prayers as we await his upcoming PET scan and surgery.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

April

It was fun to have the kids over yesterday. Vincent is a really great egg cracker. He was a bit perplexed that I don’t have a blue apron at my house. My options were pink or maroon with ruffles. He opted to risk getting his sweatshirty dirty and just licking it off if he did!

    See you soon, take care.

    Hey April,

Thanks for the update–sounds like a wonderful week-end for all of you. I was also occasionally screaming at the TV during that wild game. Yikes !!

    Hi April,

I love it when the kids get to come here to visit, I also love it when the cousins are able to play together, it reminds me of my close relationships with my cousins. Cousins are like brothers and sisters except they don’t live in your house — someone else’s quote.

Vincent, Daphne and Elaina spent the night. Elaina and Vincent were especially wired at bedtime, which was fine. I always think reading a book in bed should quiet them.

Rachel and Madison were up early –before 8:00 — riding bikes.

They all played hard outside as they did the Saturday before–not too many nice days left.

Looking forward to Disney World and meeting the real Indiana Jones.

    Take care
    Kathy

Sounds as if each of you had a great weekend. It’s a little difficult for me to imagine you, April, shouting at the TV set. I bet you still have your smile while you’re yelling. As I was going to your website this morning, I was feeling “kind of bad” that I hadn’t checked it for a while. (That doesn’t mean I wasn’t thinking about you and praying for you.) In the summer it sat on the kitchen counter and I checked it multiple times a day. So, I, too, am glad that there hasn’t been a need for recent updates.
I’m sure you’re excited about your trip. Hope you all have a good time. Paula
